Suggestion

I have to say i wrestled with this myself - there are HID kits available inc ballast resistors via eBay and other suppliers......but .....honestly for £15 and 10 minutes work to change the bulbs this was a noticeable improvement...!

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, would someone please let me know what my options are for upgrading my standard headlamps (H7) for an aftermarket kit that is brighter. my understanding (which may well be wrong!) is that litronic ones are not an option due to the different fitment. Any my and all advice appreciated! many thanks, jurgen ps: are there MOT implications?

I have to say i wrestled with this myself - there are HID kits available inc ballast resistors via eBay and other suppliers......but .....honestly for £15 and 10 minutes work to change the bulbs this was a noticeable improvement...! POST 5Original post

I fitted these to my daughter's BMW118 which made a significant difference. Similar to the Night Breakers, but they say 120% more light. http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/H7-Ring-XENON-Ultima-120-Headlamp-Bulb-55W-pair.html . They produce a much whiter light than the rather yellow light of the standard bulbs, and are a decent improvement. They will never be as good as retrofitting Litronics, but for £20 you can't go wrong. Ring also do one which claims 130% more light, but twice the price.

Just bought a pair from ebay £12.99 thanks for the advise. Cheers Paul
