Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I have also just fitted (like 3 days ago) fitted new rear tyres, which seems to have helped.

Yes, I changed the engine mounts this spring, it absolutely transformed the handling.

Have you gone through the suspension and checked the geometry?

Ah ok, before ripping out the subframe - did you already change the engine and gearbox mounts?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

If you mean the bushes that attach the subframes to the chassis, you'll be lucky to find the OEM parts...they are not listed separately from the subframe - most people are fitting solid bushes (like me!)
Powerflex do poly bushes in 2 stiffness ratings :

Or if you really insist on OEM, it's probably easiest to buy a used pair of subframes.
I’m trying to fix the floaty back end, previous threads on here suggested rebushing the rear subframe. (For example:

(With my car, changing the engine mounts had the biggest effect - it was shocking
)
Yes, I changed the engine mounts this spring, it absolutely transformed the handling. Took it from outright dangerous to ok.
Got the gearbox mount on order with Porsche, will be doing that this autumn, but figured I might as well do all the underneath stuff in one go.
It sounds like you should take the car to a suspension specialist for an inspection of the components and an alignment :

I’ve gone through that process, took it to CG when I bought it and they diagnosed the dampers as knackered but everything else ok (all the lower suspension arms have either been replaced by the previous owner or me within the last 4 years). To my surprise new dampers didn’t fix it, engine mounts helped a lot, so now looking at other things. I have also just fitted (like 3 days ago) fitted new rear tyres, which seems to have helped.
Next up is upper rear arms, my mechanic said it looked like the bushes have compressed a little, I was fairly sure they previous owner had done them recently (or I’d have done them by now) but it won’t hurt to change them.
After that I might look at getting it aligned by a specialist again..or maybe just eBay the damn thing. Thanks for the recommendations for suspension specialists
