I managed to source a Strut King clear engine cover on FB and am looking to "fix" the carpet that comes with it, mainly to make it more aesthetically appealing. Does anyone with experience have tips or advice on doing this? I found that one P9 member vinyl-wrapped the foam surround in "carbon fiber" and got rid of the carpet. Another had a full-custom carpet made; super nice, but I presume pricy! - Cake

My carpets are custom with a red leather sewn border. Maybe you can show a rug shop the shape and piece you plan to make and get an estimate on said border only. Cutting it to shape is well..."Cake" let them do the custom sewn trim. Bonus points if you find a remnant at same facility to use on the project, they also might be more amiable to doing the work.
