Have any of you thought about adding alcantara to the interior of the car? One of the gripes I have with this car is the crappy headliner. I really wished it would've been lined with alcantara like the rest of the porsche coupes. Any idea where I could have this done and the prices I would be looking at? While I'm at it, I'd also like an alcantara steering wheel and gear shift just like on the GT3.

The option sheet for the Cayman at the Finnish Porsche site lists an Alcantara headliner for the Cayman @ 845 Euros.

I think the headliner is really nice just the way it is... mine is gray (with seal/blue car)... is it the same color on all cars? Guess it's just personal tastes.

The techart catalog no longer lists the alcantara headliner. It only has an item labeled "interior leather work."

I noticed this change in the catalog too, but, it says to call them about theinterior leather, so I don't think this means that the Alcantara is no longer available.

Farnbacher Loles is offering Alcantara upgrades for the Cayman. These include shifter boot, shift lever, hand brake, steering wheel and binnacle cover. I'll post pics soon. We should have prices on all of the above shortly. If there is enough interest we could also do the headliner.

Agreed, that alcantara wheel in the 997 GT3 is sweet. I bet it will cost a pretty penny though!!
