Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

As a result I highly recommend doing it for all the reasons as laid out in thefilm manufacturers web site---www.huperoptikusa.com: I have a fairly dark tint on the rear side windows & hatch which gives good security for luggage plus awesome looks!

I just love the look as is so much I don't want to change anything.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I will have to take notice of whether I am still getting signals from behind with the screen installed.

I had my oldblack M3 tinted by Elite window tinting [phone removed]). They did a very nice job and actually came out to my house and did it there.

I was going to get mine tinted but now I am having second thoughts. I just love the look as is so much I don't want to change anything. Still don't know. When it is summer I might feel different!/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/shades_smile.gif

I am definately tinting the windows on my Carrara White Cayman. I like the look of it and in this South Florida Heat it is needed. I will be going with a 20-25% vivibility tint.
I do like tint on both the black and white cars, no question it does look hot, or cool? On my car with sand beige interior I would not know whether to go with the gray tones or amber tones? And it is against cobalt blue which is another color. I thinkit might just be a bit much for my combo.
Aloha Russ
Dave. got mine tinted here in San Diego. Medium on back hatch and light on side windows and doors.
Pictures in my album.
PM me if you need a place in SD to go to.
Russ, Have just completed over 2000 miles to Miami and back in 'XOTICA' and whilst in Miami I paid a visit to Solar Tint Inc.to get the rear & all side windows tinted. As a result I highly recommend doing it for all the reasons as laid out in thefilm manufacturers web site---www.huperoptikusa.com: I have a fairly dark tint on the rear side windows & hatch which gives good security for luggage plus awesome looks! The cockpit side windows have a slightly lighter tint and the end result is outstanding. JohnD.
Anyone who has pictures of Cayman tinting, particularly on non-black/silver/white cars please post. I live in PA, but swear by tinting to keep the cabin cool. I have a Silver/Black TL w/tint and the interior rarely (even in mid 90 degree summer) is uncomfortably hot.
My only issue is tint looks real slick on black/silver/white , but what about other colors...like Lapis?
I think if you do not go to dark it makes any car color look great. I don't understand why car manufacturers don't tint the windows. Most SUV's seem to come with a medium tint in the glass. My Ford F150 has a medium tint in the glass and it looks great plus you don't have to worry about any film on the glass.
I had mine tinted by the dealer. They used a ceramic tint. It's not very dark but the ceramics in it sure cut down heat transfer. It is about $100 more than regular tint.
Hey guys, I was at the tint installer for the Porsche dealership. He showed me a Huber Optik ceramic type tint. Obviously it's non-metallic and shouldn't hinder my radar detector. They had 30,40 and 50. 50 was the lightest, I think. I'm not a fan of too dark a tint and when I told him I would probably get the lightest, he said the 40's and 50's don't come in big enough sheets to do the back in one piece. There would be a seam. Anyone know about Huber Optik? Can't seem to find a website on it.

I had my windows tinted on my last two cars. I think that Im going without on the Cayman. I guess I want to be seen more than I did in my Acura or BMW.
just remember....a tint in the rear will affect your radar detector sensitivity...if you are using one that detects in the rear....like the V1 or the Passport 8500......just a thought.
No problem w/my radar detector w/ceramic tint. At least I hope no problems/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/confused_smile.gif Still get signals from behind. Oh well, need to live w/it cause I link the tint.
I will have to take notice of whether I am still getting signals from behind with the screen installed. I think it might be blocking it? Not for sure, but I cannot recall any rear signals latetly.
