Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

How can a guy like myself who knows nothing about cars get more horsepower? I would like to bring it to one of these places where they put in chips but I don't want to get ripped off since I know nothing about cars.

POST 2Original post

Doc - There will be a lot more options in a few months for the 987A (Cayman S) that there are today. A good place to start would be http://www.techart.de/techart/frame.asp?prog=65&lang=en . Mike

POST 3Original post

See Ruf, Porsche's 'almost' own tuner. Ruf to Porsche is like Alpina to BMW or Saleen to Ford. http://www.rufautocentre.com/index.asp

POST 4Original post

I'mvery interested inthe 370hp Techart performance upgrade. No word on pricing yet though.

POST 5Original post

Remember that these prices are quite high. The GTR conversion is set at $35000

POST 6Original post

I think the Cayman S is the 987C
. At least that's what Porsche calls it in their Porsche Genuine Parts Catalogue.
See https://techinfo.porsche.com/techinfo/VFModuleManager?Type=MainFrameSet where you can download the Cayman parts catalog.

POST 7Original post

. The service manager at the Porsche dealership told the local PCA folks this. Dropped him an email for a double check. Thanks, Mike

POST 8Original post

Maybe in the parts catalog it's list as 987C, but i usally see the Cayman listed as 987CS

POST 9Original post

Spoke with the dealer service manager on this and he was basing theA designation for the Cayman on what he claims is the longstanding Porsche practice of putting a C in the 4th charter of the VIN for cabs and A for coupes. Guess I will need to double check the dealers work/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/wall.gif Thanks, Mike
