Creaking did not go away until I replaced a blown strut mount.

Good idea to know exactly what parts will be replaced on a full rebuild.

I have replaced the water pump myself and engine mounts without an issue.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have a '99 C2 with almost 120K miles. The rear shocks were replaced 9 years ago at 80K miles when I purchased the vehicle. To the best of my knowledge, all other suspension components are original.
The only issue I really have at this point is that it creaks horribly. I back out of my driveway and over the curb at an angle and a loud creaking can be heard at each corner (it is worse during colder months). I know there are different rubber bushings that are quite old by now and other components that are certainly tired.
The stock setup is perfectly OK with me. I daily drive it during the summer and don't drive especially hard anymore.
So I'm looking for help to come up with a list of everything that needs to be replaced to update the suspension and get rid of the unwanted noises. I would like to do the work myself but might get over my head with this. I have replaced the water pump myself and engine mounts without an issue. I watched a video of the control arms being replaced and that did not look too bad.
Any advice on a parts list, model/brand of replacement parts and a vendor would be greatly appreciated!
-Brad
I'm having my entire suspension refreshed due to age and creaking. Not cheap, especially if you have a shop do it. You may be able to isolate one or two components that are the culprits. I figured I'd replace everything because my car is 21 years old and rubber wears out over time.
I have a noise that sounds like air when i go over a speedbump, slowly. I am assuming it is just blown shocks, I dont have a history for suspension.
Probably do some bilsteins.
PO on my Turbo spent $5k+ on a full rebuild to eliminate creaking. CA shop did everything except the strut mounts and stoppers. Creaking did not go away until I replaced a blown strut mount. Good idea to know exactly what parts will be replaced on a full rebuild.
