Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi everyone, I am new to the forum and am excited to make my first Porsche purchase. I am looking for a specialist / technician that can help me assess a 996 turbo / turbo s. Most likely near London, but potentially also approximately 1h drive away. Happy to do this against pay. Please let me know if you know someone that could help and what the best way is to contact them. Thanks a lot! JF

POST 2Original post

depends on where near london is, as a 1 hour drive is quite far

POST 3Original post

I used Porsche Inspections on my 996 C4S and they were excellent. Not sure how far south they go though: http://www.porscheinspections.com/

POST 5Original post

9e if South, Porsche Torque if West, JZM or RPM if North and Porsche East London. Used them all and they’ll all give you a list of works needed to get into A1 mechanical condition. You need to get them up on a ramp to assess them properly as there can be a ton of rusted components.
