Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
I'd suggest the obvious starting point is the OPC with the original number plate details (in case its wearing a private plate now) or use the VIN details off the car itself - I'd anticipate a turbo would probably have been serviced at OPC network dealers across the early years of its life, and their computers all use a central database.
Leading evidence: 'Use central database' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use central database' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

Suggestion
I did it last year when I was selling my Honda, but as I say whet they were able to trace was only rudimentary and listed actual service dates, although as I'd always used the same local dealer they were agreeable to stamping the book for me to bring it up to date, all FOC; whether OPC keep more detailed records, and whether they'd be agreeable to providing a new and stamped service book, I guess you'd have to ask them - I have seen blank service books periodically on eBay if they can't (or won't) supply them.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi, I would like to know the best way to, complete the service history of my 2003 996 Turbo, I have all the invoices for servicing & work done from 2008 to present but no service manual as previous owner lost it.
1. How do i get a new service book
2. How can i verify first five years of history & owners
thanks Ken
I'd suggest the obvious starting point is the OPC with the original number plate details (in case its wearing a private plate now) or use the VIN details off the car itself - I'd anticipate a turbo would probably have been serviced at OPC network dealers across the early years of its life, and their computers all use a central database. I'd expect they should be able to do at least a rudimentary printout of services/dates/mileages for you.

There's one here presently (needs to be posted from the US, but should otherwise be the same)

Good luck - let us know how you get on.
Also see previous keepers listed on the vehicle registration document, and possibly any older MOT details in you folder - also if you stick the registration history up on the forum and a picture/description you may find other members will be helpful or have some anecdotal knowledge of the car.
Service book order from your local OPC.
If none of the above suggestions work, the original licence plate number can be used to identify where in the country the car was first registered which should help identify the delivering OPC and if your lucky the missing services.
Thanks again for the advice,
Ordered a new service book from OPC Reading they are happy to stamp it up with the work they have done,
downside is no idea when the book will be delivered,
they have orders in the system from November 2014 & May 2015 now mine Sept 2015,
All books come through Porsche Germany, no other options & no timescale on deliveries,
Keeping my fingers crossed
