Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Some Chav tried to help themselves to my bonnet badge (thought this craze ended with the Beastie Boys). Anyhow as luck would have it the badge got destroyed but no damage to the bodywork. However I have a problem. I now have a replacement badge (which looks much better than the old one anyway) I'm left with the top of the shafts showing on the bonnet. As the "bolts" are just rubber with an interferience fit I can't move the buggers. Got it steeping in WD40 now to try an loosen them up. Anyone else had to replace a Bonnet Badge and if so how did you get on? Thanks Migration info. Legacy thread was 131977
