I keep getting this when reading out with durametric...
my
pdk
shifts just fine though
and i added additional oil to it until it was full like it was suggested here for better temp control
(i had this error read out before the additional oil, too)
i seem to get this error no matter the temps and how hard or not the car is driven
the car itself is not giving any error only when reading with dura as maintenance every so often
I stumble across this
PDK
C418 error and i find this reoccuring code
does anyone have a clue? or does anybody know the definition to this error code?
thank you!
Are you sure the error code is not stale? I do not know about the
PDK
but with the
DME
if the MIL (malfunction indictor lamp) status is 0 (off) then any DTC read is stale and not real.
Your local
Porsche
dealer tech might share with your what the code means how it comes about.
I'm a bit bothered by your adding oil to the
PDK
though. These are generally semi-sealed units and if they need oil they have a leak and that needs to be addressed.
my dealer is not giving me any info --- they just do do this here in germany at
porsche
you are quite alone in your issues if you are outside a stock car setup
when I meant I added oil I did this:
my PDK is perfectly tight and not leaking anything
so you mean this error code may be just a communication error not necessarily a real error?
It could actually by a communication error. But I dont know enough to say for sure. It happened to me several times that I see strange errors, and the guys at the dealer just tell me that sometimes sensors send erroneous signals, and these should not be a concern unless they keep recurring and/or cause a CEL!
Really strange having this sort of treatment in Porsche's home country though!
I am having the same C418 code come up and C401 also. I drained the
PDK
oil, changed the filter, added the exact same amount of oil back to the trans. It's also showing a P0010 code. Runs ok, just shifts around 2500 unless I'm really hard on the throttle.
