Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I am new to the forum and I have been shopping for 2012-2015 911's(s) with Sports Chrono Package among other options, the last 911 I owned was a 2005 997. I have been told now by 3 dealers that their cars with SCP have been taken off the market by the EPA, these cars can't be certified, Porsche North America referred me back to the dealer. Evidently they can be sold through independents and private owner, my concern is that in the future depending on the outcome their values could take a hit. Has anyone else heard of this?

POST 2Original post

From what I understand, the cars just can't be sold in states that adhere to the California Emissions requirements. The law suit was filed in CA court. Also applies to 981's and Panamera's among others with Sport Chrono.

POST 3Original post

Thanks for the reply, the dealers were understandably vague, definitely limits the field.

POST 4Original post

Porsche Stop-Sale Sorry if already a repeat, seems my Cayman w/Sport Chrono just jumped off of the resale value cliff. Comments / thoughts?

POST 5Original post

Mines not for sale but I don’t have SC anyway so... 6spd and no SC, mine may have just increased in value! [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As I wrote in the now deleted thread, I can only hope that the karma will show up in the bitchiest of the modes for the originators of this travesty.

POST 7Original post

Agree. If you're buying a Porsche with Sport Chrono, the last thing you're worried about is emissions. I want to drive it fast and hard, hear it scream on the track up to redline, whilst getting 7 mpg. The only one's who make out on this are the lawyers and greenie special interests who will inevitably get a kick back.
