This is not a probability of success.

It is immaculate condition as well, the trouble is I won’t be able to garage the car with winter on it’s way, is there a good cover for the car that you could recommend so it can be kept outside ok with any weathered problems to the car please?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Hi I am about to buy a Porsche 997 2S on a 54 plate with 85,000 on the clock, with service history and a new MOT in black for £20,000, I would appreciate the advice please. Is that a good price and do you think that these 997’s will hold their value or even increase in price maybe? It is immaculate condition as well, the trouble is I won’t be able to garage the car with winter on it’s way, is there a good cover for the car that you could recommend so it can be kept outside ok with any weathered problems to the car please? Cheers Martin

If you're buying any car speculating on making money or even breaking even at your conclusion with it, IMO you're buying it for the wrong reasons and are likely to be disappointed. That's especially true with a vehicle you are going into triple odometer digits with. Speaking of which, I'd caution you about considering what the mileage will be at the end of the finance period. Personally, I wouldn't want to buy something that might be at 160, 000 before it's paid for. Regarding garages, it's of course always better to have inside storage. If the car is outside, regardless of the cover and price, said cover will need to be removed and dried frequently. The covers like to advertise they breathe, giving the purchaser the idea that removal will not be necessary. The truth is even indoors with hot & cold cycles, moisture will build underneath them and that's not good for the paint or the car. Frankly, if I was going back outside, I'd leave it uncovered. If you live where they salt I would be careful about over washing it too as you are sending salt water down the inside of the door skins. when that starts no amount of diligent waxing from the outside will prevent the dreaded "bubbles of rust" from the inside out. Anyhow, good luck with your decision..
