Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

So this won't be happening for a few years but currently I'm going the through process of making a deal with my stepdad where all of the money gained from selling my current car (981 cayman s) on top of all the money my family normally spends on buying the children a new car will go straight to him and in return he will just transfer his 991 turbo s to me. It has the full fabspeed street performance package along with a tune. right now it only has about 15000 miles on it but by the time this will take place Id say it'll probably have about 25000 miles on it. If I were to get it then It would be my daily driver for at least the next 5 years and after that I'd definitely keep it around as a weekend car or something like that. Anyways I was wondering what it is like to own and drive one on a regular basis. Like are they reliable a suitable for a daily commute?

POST 2Original post

Sounds like a great deal for you! I had a friend with a 997 Turbo S that he daily-drove. After he retired, he traded it in for a GT3, which is now mostly for track use. Never really any complaints, until he started taking it to the track. The car was a bit much to handle at the track, and he wore through brake pads at a blistering pace.

POST 3Original post

I can totally see how it would be WAYYYYYYY too powerful for track use. Luckily this one is babied. There's a gt4 that takes its place as the track car. But jeez I can't imagine how fast it was on a track though.

POST 5Original post

If you paid attention to my initial post, you can clearly see that I said "This won't be happening for a few years...". 2024 or 2025 if you really must know. I'll be around 22 by then. I don't see how my age RIGHT NOW has anything to do with this future subject.

POST 6Original post

I couldn't do it, parking it in the "I don't care about anyone but myself world" would get me hooked on valium. I'm already like that now with my "old" Porsche car.
