Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Use black wow' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use black wow' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I managed to get Gorrila Glue and get it back to normal but the paint is all jacked up.
HATE HATE HATE NC parking lots!!!!!! So Saturday I had just finished shopping when I came out of the parking lot there was a dip, I didnt see it and WHAM!!!!! I cracked the (*&^%) out my front spoiler lip. I managed to get Gorrila Glue and get it back to normal but the paint is all jacked up. I had to do some sanding and now is ready for paint. Here is my Question..... is there a spray can out there that is extremely close in color or similar to the 40th AE GT Silver? Besides the Porsche dealer touch up paint ( not spray )
Any ideas will Help!!!!!!
try here, you may have to inquire about GT Silver as
I don't see it in the menu

sorry to hear about the splitter
There is a house I stay at when I'm in LA, it has a steep dip where the driveway meets the street. My car can head into the driveway and back out of the driveway without scraping but if I turn around on the property and head out the driveway it scrapes. I had to repair and repaint the bottom of my bumper again. If it happens one more time I'm going to coat the bottom of the bumper with truck bed liner which is easy to repair and tough. I'm having a hard time keeping this car pristine but I'm trying.
Go to a professional automotive paint store, NAPA used to do this too, not sure if they still do, give them your paint code & they will sell you what you want.
Automotivetouchup.com
code is m7z
look under 2007, porsche, all models - and you can order a spray can - and get their two step clear coat if needed. It gives the best finish I have found - for a spray can.
I've tried 4 different aftermarket paint touchup places including paintscratch.com. My preference is automotivetouchup.com. The only ding to them could be the turn around time to receive your paint depending on how backed up they are. They also sell the "professional" clear coat in a can only meant for professional shops. Respirator is mandatory in using this. This is the best can clear coat I've used. my $.02
Any good auto paint supply place can scan your paint and then mix a perfect match and put it in a rattle can for about $30. The paint will look very good but it is very soft and will only last a few years.
Unless the car is fairly new, I wouldn't go by paint no. since paint fades and the finished product will be mismatched.
This is why I stick with the original black plastic lip. It is a couple hundred dollars, but that's way cheaper than pro paint. I scrape it up all the time (in NC, and now in FL) and under hard braking at autocross it scrapes. It's part of the patina, and when it looks too nasty I'll just buy another.
Good luck touching yours back up, but to me it's a consumable item and my recommendation is go back to the original black plastic. Use Black Wow to keep it looking like new.
I totally understand about the OEM black lip trust me if mine wasnt already painted and salvegable I would have gotten a black one, When I got the car the lip was already painted to match the car when I got it. So to me is cheaper to fix and paint it than to buy a new one....
So far i have $3.49 (Gorilla Glue)
$24.00 +/-(Spray Paint)
For a Couple of hundread Dollars hmmmm I'll stick to the one i have for now.
I wonder what would happen if you left it in a big tub of paint thinner for awhile...
By the way, those wheels are pretty slick. They look enormous on the 996 though!
You know what would happen? I'd be buying a black one, thats that would happen
lol !!!!
Thank you for the props on the wheels, they came on the car when I got her, they are 19"
