Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes, it's another post about the joys of 911 C4 ownership. My old man is 80 in a few weeks and today I took him out for a spot of lunch and a bit of a drive. I picked him up from his house in Wombourne, which is just outside Wolverhampton. We then drove from Wombourne towards Telford down the B road called 'The Rabbit Run' which is a great road towards Telford. We then went via Ironbridge, Coalbrook, past Buildwas Abbey and then for a spot of lunch at the Mitten & Mermaid pub opposite Attingham Park. I have to say that the 996 was an absolute joy to drive. Steaming into corners and then flooring it back out, sticking to the road like a Scalextric car, the roar of the Dansk sports exhaust, the acceleration, the amazing breaking and just the overall enjoyment of driving a thoroughly amazing car. Every single time I drive this car it is just a huge amount of fun. Yes it rattles, yes it hasn't got the 'whistles and bells' of modern cars, yes the interior might look a bit dated but bloody hell, I love driving it.

POST 2Original post

Sounds like a great day and one that your Dad would have enjoyed too I'm sure. I only managed to take my Dad out once in my 911 but I can still remember the smile on his face!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

@jpsh120 - It's the simple things, like driving in a car, that really do create the best memories.

POST 4Original post

I work in Telford and can confirm the rabbit run is indeed a cracking road

POST 5Original post

Nothing wrong with the interior - proper sports car, unlike something created by a play station warrior that's on modern sports cars.
