Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

People: all of a sudden, my left front turn signal quit, this after I pulled out headlight assembly, to inspect bulb type before converting to LED. Pulled assembly out, checked bulb (OK), no fuse issue, placed dielectric grease on all connectors(in bulb housing and harness connection), tweaked contacts in bulb holder and where it inserts into assembly-NO FIX. Probably did this two times. On third try, when placing the whole headlight assembly back into car, I had a loud “bang” when snugging it down with special tool that I had not heard or felt with other tries. FIXED. So I would strongly suggest you verify that whole unit is fully engaged. Even though housing seems “flush” with body work, it is apparently no guarantee that its truly fully in place.
