Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
My take is anecdotal and only for a dual-use DD to DE car.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I used to have the fire extinguisher mounted under my passenger OEM base seat. The mount/extinguisher was purchased from rennline. I liked the idea of having a fire extinguisher in the car for obvious reasons but now I have OEM GT3 buckets. The mount will not work with these seats. What are people using to mount their fire extinguishers under the seats? I do prefer this mount vs to the cage. Thank you for the help.

I have a Brey Krause fire extinguisher & mount that mounts to the seat bolts that I'll be selling soon (either that or my RennLine one);
The quick release is either the R-9520 or R-9530 (retail $301)
The R-9520-BRK bracket (retail $52.52)
and the R-2044 seat bolt mount (retail $111.59)
Plus the fire extinguisher (chrome finish)

Seems there are more and more mounting options for the stick extinguisher.
The Element version (this) is $50 right now at Pelican. The Rennline is about $150.
Not clunky and fairly easy to move between vehicles. Decent backup, I think.
Something to think about and hopefully none of us need to use it...
From a practical standpoint, you want to do two things if your car is on fire.
1. Get out of it quickly
2. And have the extinguisher in a location that is conducive to getting out quickly and then being able to deploy quickly.
Passenger seat at the feet isn't easy to reach while getting out of the car. Nor is somewhere on the roll bar behind you. Try reaching behind you to your right between the two seats. You can't. So you would have to get out of the car and then back in so you can lean on your seat to be able to reach the extinguisher. If the car is on fire, that's the last thing you would want to do.
That leaves either getting a racing system that you can deploy at exit which is expensive and may be overkill for DE, or you can hang an extinguisher on you roll cage at the left side of the drivers seat at the door. Easy to deploy after you got out of the car, and out of the way.
GC996 is quite right. Ive only used my portable extinguishers for
suppressing
a fire for someone else. Passenger side is dangerously impractical. Made that mistake once and glad it did not become a post-crash factor. Suffice to say a bottle under a persons legs is not very useful if that person cant move. Tick tock. My primary unit is now under driver feet in both P cars. I keep an Element in the driver door pocket of my 996 for contingencies. Ill take GC996s sage observation one step further and say a one hand grab-n-go mount location as you undo belts, open door and un *** the car would be optimum. My take is anecdotal and only for a dual-use DD to DE car.
Ill go out on a limb here and say anyone with a full cage will have a racing system. On a
harness bar
between seats, an occupant on either side, with 3-point belt, can grab an Element in one motion as they unbuckle. Just an additional option to have available. As far as the Element unit and mount goes, I dont know how many lbs of force the clips will hold. A 40 G crash would generate 32 lbs force vector with an E50. But theyre sanctioned for use, so there is that.
My two bits. Im a big fan of both bottle and stick, and have many of both around the house and garage.
It's a complex topic and therefore a complex solution. I am also considering putting an additional one at the base of my GT3 drivers seat as a precaution if for some reason, I am not able to get out of the car and deploy the one next to my seat. In this case, it could be street or track.
Is this overkill? Maybe. But the older I get, the more I realize that I am mortal.
I ended up ordering what you posted. After considering what others have posted, I will probably end up mounting it under the driver's seat. There were some good points made vs under the passenger seat.
Thanks for the other posts.
