Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, i have recently bought a boxster s 986 2003, there is water getting into the car and is accumulating on the floor under the passenger seat, carpet is very wet......has anyone else experienced this problem?

POST 3Original post

Bill, Welcome to the forum. Use the search function to access the knowledge base of this site. If you put 'wet passenger floor' into the search box you will get numerous discussions of the problem and its solutions.

POST 4Original post

Do you have a owners manual. If not Open the top so there is about a 5 " gap from the windshield. There is a cloth piece snapped at 2 points on the back surface of the top compartment, unclip these. There should be a cable clipped on the bottom of the compartment under each side under of the edge of the top, it's ball and socket connection. Pick up the back edge of the top folding the window in until it's straight up and down. Hold it folded with the strap attachéd to the top hook this on the drivers side front roof clip under the front edge of the top drivers side this will keep the top folded and give access to the motor bay. There is a drain in the bottom well on each side. Make sure they are cleared out. Check the gasket on the corners of the windows top front and rear and the back window lip these are common leak point in the rain.

POST 6Original post

Welcome to the forum any info on the car or photos are appreciated.

POST 7Original post

Once you clean out the drains put a container of damp rid in the car while it sits in the sun to absorb the moisture.

There's two drains at the base of the windshield too. Each side of the batt as I recall.
