ive had an apology and been recommended to use Napa gold 1068 filters and all though these still have the bypass its the filter LN use for track cars with the IMS solution fitted.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

so I went to fit the sensor adapter plate as per my build thread and change the oil filter on my 996. Now it’s had spin on filters for 4 years and it’s done a good few miles in that time but I never noted it’s missing the adapter plate. The part number that arrived from design911 for the filter was HP-1007 but mine on removal mine was HP-1002. Any reason for concern? Filter removal Thread size I used for the sensor plate New HP-1002 filter and the sensor plate fitted.

POST 2Original post

part numbers are always updating, shouldn't be of any concern

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

right so I'm a moron. clearly I have the spin on adaptor other wise i could not use the filter but after talking to design 911 and LN engineering what's happen is there has been a QC error and it has ended up with the IMS solution centre thread for 3/4-16 filters not the 13/16-16 thread that normally comes with the spin on adaptor. ive had an apology and been recommended to use Napa gold 1068 filters and all though these still have the bypass its the filter LN use for track cars with the IMS solution fitted. I now need to return the HP1007 filters but at least i know what to use going forward
