Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I did the black foam fix a while back. I used the thick gray adhesive backed foam tape. Every since then Ive noticed what sounds like debris circulating around in the vents, but only when the heat is on with the center vents. Sounds like stuffs is being thrown around inside the box. Doesnt make the noise when the A/C is on,,,,only that heater flap activates with the center vents on. WhenI did the repair I did the best i could to vacuum out as much of the old black foam as I could. My question is,,,,is there any way to maybe blow compressed air thru the system to flush out whatever is being circulated around, so I dont have to go thru the hood again? That repair was a huge pain.

POST 2Original post

My thoughts are to pulll the cabin air filter and see if anything under there or touching the fan under the dash. If you want to blow air I’d go through there. Another possibility is your fan in the dash is on the way out too or a combo of both. I did the fan after the flaps and no issues or strange sounds. Rep,along the blower fan wasn’t horrible / had to remove glove box. - scrh1.

I'll give it a shot. It's interesting that it only goes on with the center vents on and the heat on. The flap moves that then it starts up. Thanks,

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I tried going thru the the box where the cabin air filter is. Vacuumed it out. No difference. tried to get a video of it. A little tough to hear. Notice when i change the vent from open close and back open You Tube
