I drove my �99 C2 out to Vegas this week and the CEL came on tonight. I�m thinking it would be wise to have it checked before I drive 280 miles back to So Cal tomorrow. Anyone have a recommended shop? If not I�ll have to drive it home and deal with it when I get back. Thanks!

Have a local auto parts store hook up to the OBD port and see what the Fault is before risking that drive.

Took it to a fantastic Porsche specialty shop and it�s the purge valve. Minor repair, and fortunately I can wait until after I drive back to LA before fixing it. Such relief. Especially since last night I let myself read many different horror stories online from different people about their CEL bombshells.

Ah man, sorry I didn't see this thread sooner for you. Glad you got sorted out. FWIW for future thread visitors I would have recommended Trophy Performance or 900 Series Motorsports (Carl's Place.) Curious to see if you ended up at either.
