Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

If you go to someone and say you are about to get some suspension parts changed, can you get a read out, swap the bits and then come back and get it done again, many will do that for you for free or very little.

Suggestion

Assuming geo isn’t out and suspension arms are all reasonably new, I’d change engine mounts.

Any of those could have given up (and likely have, if they’ve not been replaced yet).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all Have a lot of movement each time I hit a bump, if I turning and hit a bump the car seems to swing sideways, no noise or clonking just a sideways wobble, or after a series of bumps the rear seems to swing, I’m thinking engine mounts going to-get to garage tomorrow. It’s not a wild movement just a feeling of looseness. Would be interested in any thoughts Thanks in advance Steve

POST 2Original post

Bear in mind you’ve got dozens of bushes across the various coffin arms, top arms, trailing arms, top mounts and anti roll bars - both front and rear. Any of those could have given up (and likely have, if they’ve not been replaced yet). That’s where my money would be. You really need it up on a ramp with a specialist to give it a good prod and pull and see what gives!

not normal at all what @jerzybondov get it up on a ramp, a worn rubber bush is a opening suspect

POST 4Original post

Get somewhere and get your geo read. If you go to someone and say you are about to get some suspension parts changed, can you get a read out, swap the bits and then come back and get it done again, many will do that for you for free or very little. I reckon it is geo well out.

POST 5Original post

Assuming geo isn’t out and suspension arms are all reasonably new, I’d change engine mounts. Otherwise, arms and geo.

POST 6Original post

This little lot that I took off my 997.2 will give you an idea as to bushes on the suspension alone
