Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 2Original post

Sounds like a low battery - give it a 30 min charge and try again If that doesn't work battery is probably shot HTH

POST 3Original post

^^^ What Gary said, but it might need more than 30 mins.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys thanks for the fast reply...I assume I can just start jump it? Bst Andy

POST 5Original post

Yep you use the jump terminals in the engine compartment - assuming its not too flat and not locked you should be able to open the cover the normal way using the passenger compartment lever - if not there's an emergency release wire you can fish out under the rear nearside light cluster. http://perryandcoblog.com/2009/11/17/porsche-carrera-911-996-dead-battery-locked-hood-solution/ If its a dead dodo battery Eurocarparts are doing a good offer on a compatible Bosch battery - cost you at least £50 more at Halfrauds http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/accessories-car-batteries/car-batteries/most-popular-car-battery/100-car-batteries/?444771005&0&cc5_996 Cheers.

POST 6Original post

Not uncommon for me as the car isn't used daily. Worse in winter as things like alarms and trackers provide a low level drain over time.

Get a CTEK 3.8 conditioner/charger. Won't happen again.
