Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Yep, I did this when I first bought the PolarExpress to replace the weathered/old one.

TIP: use a hairdryer to warm up the backing to make it easier to stretch!

It was a case of using a socket to remove those rubber nut thingies.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

In all this rain and possibly with the buffing the previous owner did my badge has fallen off, definitely not stolen, it disappeared when doing 3 figures in the rain.
I've ordered a replacement badge (with the correct part no) and now need to remove the existing 'rivets' and mount the new one.
Has anyone done this before? I certainly don't want to end up with scratches, dents etc if there's a nice easy way of doing it! I know there's 2 8mm bolts under the bonnet that need removing.
That is weird......... same thing happened to mine too....
£68 fitted at the OPC - expensive for what is involved I'm sure.
Wasn't going to risk making a pigs ear out of it since the bonnet has been paintshielded.
Yep, I did this when I first bought the PolarExpress to replace the weathered/old one. There is a hard rubber backing that fits between the badge and the bodywork. For some reason, the backing is smaller than the badge and needs to be stretched in all directions because there is a lip on the backing that goes around the badge...
TIP: use a hairdryer to warm up the backing to make it easier to stretch! I found it heck of lot more difficult than it should have been!
Mine came with the badge, rubber gasket (backing) and two push fit type nuts with a metal nut backing.
I think on the old forum i asked about removing the old badge to fit the new. It was a case of using a socket to remove those rubber nut thingies.
hi just rumaging around on ebay and saw this - might be useful for anyone else who had a badge fall off...
Ebay item number : 180124348919 with a buy it now of £25. looks genuine but would advise checking first.

I saw that one yesterday but went for the 996 part number one that was boxed, with gasket and fittings.
I don't know how different the 993 part is to the 996.
