Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Check usual things (like fluid, fuses etc)' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check micro switch' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I used water and compressed air but this seems less...

I purchased a Trombone/Tuba cleaning brush to help clean out those drains and for those drains upfront or in the Frunk area.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

While I was at the shop after paying it worked as intended.
Hello Folks, I'm back again. This time.. my top won't close. When the press the close button, the rear top compartment lifts and then pauses and I get 3 blinking lights. I've done a fair amount of research on the internet and I've checked the usual things (like fluid, fuses etc). After trying everything I could think of, then finally I took it to the local shop. They said they were able to calibrate it using special software and charged me $200. While I was at the shop after paying it worked as intended.
I tried to take it out that night and it started doing the same thing. I brought it back to the shop and they said it needs right "flap" assembly and is saying parts and labor is "$800". I asked are they confident its not the other flap.. they said it out of stock and would take a longer time.
I have a feeling they are not sure of what it is and are hoping this will resolve it but they are a shop that specialized in German cars (specifically Porsches). Has anyone else dealt with this? Thoughts / Opinion?
I did a video series repairing my '02 Cab. I had all the lights. Sounds like it might be an easy fix. Check it out:

You can almost buy a durametric tool for 200. PM me if you have any questions.

So I tried to re-lube both flaps a few weeks ago. The main tech at the shop said the car is 22 years old.. it's not a bad idea to change the micro-switch and motor. I think I'm leaning towards it. An alternative is, buy the durametric and manually reset if it has issues again but I think I prefer to just replace it.
Id check the micro switch before spending money on a new one. Its very common for the cab tops to get out of sync. Theres a well documented process on getting your top in sync again. Plus if you havent already, you should consider rebuilding your rams. Thats the number one most common issue with these. That and not cleaning out the drains and flooding your interior.
You'll have to pull the side cards (side panels) from the back seats. Really easy to do. Check out my video, link above. You'll see what it looks like.
