hi all, i am thinking of changing the headers, but am a bit worried about the header maifold to cyl / head bolts snapping!! the rest of the bolts on the system seem pretty rusty!! and i would not want a broken bolt in the head!! what do you all think? cheers robin.

I'd say, spray it with plenty of WD40 over a period of a couple of days and not try to be too brutal with them. Failing that buy the parts and take it to an indy to get the work done.

Drive the car, get used to it and then look at mods! Look at the whole package rather than replacing a single item and watch out for OPC's moaning about non-standard parts etc should you have any poor running problems. BTW, have you sorted out the seatbelt issue yet?

According to my local Indy, these header bolts can be real g1ts to get out.... often meaning heads off and on the bench to drill/spark erode out etc. If you do decide to have a go... post up your experience!!! Good luck...

well i think i will just leave well alone! i will get the cats to go with my "silencers" and leave it at that, perhaps just wee remap! i will only keep the c4s a year then i will be getting a 996 turbo, so no point in spending much dough on the car, anyway, its superb as is!
