Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suspect this is what I've got on mine as mine were replaced by Jaz and EuroCP are right around the corner from them...

I always thought it's better to change the cheaper ones more often than to buy the more expensive one!

Chris - before you replace, consider some aero wipers that are fitted to late Mk4 and current VW Golfs.

The screen treatment makes the water bead up and run of the screen more easily.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Chris, eurocarparts.com have some no OE blades for £12, doesn't sound like a bad deal. Suspect this is what I've got on mine as mine were replaced by Jaz and EuroCP are right around the corner from them... anyway, they work fine which is the main thing.
Chris - before you replace, consider some aero wipers that are fitted to late Mk4 and current VW Golfs. I can vouch for these as they are silent and stay on the screen at all speeds. I have them for my Golf (they came as standard) and I want to get some for the Targa too. Adds a touch of modernity too.

I wouldn't have thought so as the Golf ones are longer and probably won't fit onto a 996 screen. I was informed (on the old forum) that the best way to go was fitting 997 wipers (a direct fit apparently) but someone needs to confirm if the 997 wipers are indeed the aero type ones (similar in design to the Golf's).

If you go o the PIAA website you can look up fitment for most Porkers. I have used these wipers and they are silent if used with the silicon screen treatment. Very efficient too...used by many rally teams etc...
The screen treatment makes the water bead up and run of the screen more easily. When you buy a set of these the treatment comes with them in the form of a wipe-cloth. You can re-coat as needed with extra fluid that you buy separately.
