This is not a probability of success.

I was told that if the market interest is there in the community they can make a case for developing a set for our cars.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey guys, I came across the company Bayoptiks recently after seeing a set of their headlights on a Cayenne in the wild. They make Porsche matrix-style headlights for a variety of models so I reached out to see if they had plans for the 986/996.1 I was told that if the market interest is there in the community they can make a case for developing a set for our cars. Here are some examples from their site, what do you guys think?

POST 2Original post

The first company to make actually nice and not trashy looking 986 headlights will be very successful. Currently the best option is retrofitting a set of clean headlights and I’m sure most people would be much happier just getting a whole new set in if it actually looked good (unlike the current aftermarket offerings). These look pretty good, not sure about how black insides would look on a non-black car though.

100% agree, it’s a glaring absence in the market especially considering how in expensive 986s are. Blacked out within the housing seems to be the new standard for every modern Porsche model.

POST 4Original post

The thread on Rennlist has some renders and an actual headlight that they are working on, seriously, check it out
