will anyone be ordering this option, i like the way the car looks without, but i also think it is essential.

I drove a 300ZX everyday for many years and used the rear wiper only when it rained really hard and I was in traffic and it was day time. I didn't get it on the Cayman. I'll use Rain X and/orjust use a different car in the rain. But if I knew I was going drive it in the rain, in traffic, during the day.... I'd get it, because sometimes the rearview mirror becomes unusable without it.

With the few days of rain in New Mexico I didn't need it. It does look cleaner without it. All the cars that I've had rear wipers on would up with wiper streaks that were difficult to remove.

Been driving a TT for the past 2 years without one and it's never worried me. 1 simple press of the rear window de-mister is usually enough to remove any standing water left from my experiance. Looks better without IMHO. Dean

The roof's permanent dude don't panic! Just apply some RainX to the rear window and the rain will just bead straight off at anything over 5mph and lasts weeks too. Ditch the rear wiper bro not cool! Incidently, why is the rear wiper the new Bosch 'floppy' type and not the front 2? Got these on the TT and they're amazing, somebody better get Porsche to check the Audi parts bin - we've moved on! The wiper comes without washer, making it virtually useless except stationary and in heavy rain, when the airflow will keep it clear. It also takes up space if you want to put luggage on the engine cover. I ordered mine without.
