I read that you need to have the CD changer unit installed for the Dension system to work for some reason.

Am quite happy to have a direct headphone jack connection - have no real need for control from the head unit as I tend to setup playlists and simply let it run when driving.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Apologies if this is covered elsewhere - have trawled existing threads but am still not entirely wise on options. I have a Creative Zen player which I want to connect to my existing Stereo (car has the BOSE upgrade with single CD up front and changer in the boot). Have tried FM transmitter but the results are pants. Am quite happy to have a direct headphone jack connection - have no real need for control from the head unit as I tend to setup playlists and simply let it run when driving. Am aware of Denison - but no idea if they do something or indeed anyone else. I aint gonna change to an IPOD either. Any ideas? Migration info. Legacy thread was 142363

POST 5Original post

Right, you're not going to like this, you've got no option available for you other than the Dension MOST route, yes the CDR-22 has an aux. feed in but it's only there for the telephone ie. it's either left or right, not stereo. sh*tty I know! Migration info. Legacy thread was 142400

POST 6Original post

The Dension 500 will work as it will let you connect almost anything through the MOST system although the most popular would obviously be iPods. I have one sat on my desk which I will be installing once I get a free weekend (as I also have the CDC-4 to fit at the same time). I read that you need to have the CD changer unit installed for the Dension system to work for some reason. Migration info. Legacy thread was 142428
