Hi Everyone Ive been told that the knocking sound from my front wheel (99 c4) could be the CV joint damaged needing relacement or the entire drive shaft. It might click a bit as you turn a tight corner but it doesn't mean you have to change it immediately, it will probably last years like that until it will bug you enough to fix it. Migration info. Legacy thread was 140323

When reverse parking, with wheel on full lock I sometimes get a clicking sound. I asked Sid at hatfield OPC to investigate and he couldn't replicate it and said it was nothing (I am not saying I believe that though). Is that the knocking you get? Migration info. Legacy thread was 140355

I had this on my 99 C4 and Autofarm charged me for 2 hours diagnosis and still claimed they couldn't hear anything unusual - so I am assuming that it is nothing to worry about. Also just had a major service at ProMax with a suspension geo. and they didn't comment on the suspension either. If my wheels fall off tomorrow I'll let you know (if I survive!) Migration info. I sometimes hear a light knock when reversing on lock etc.. Cars been in for service and suspension check and nothing unusual was noticed, so, I just put it down to slight drive-train shunt especially on the 4 wheel drives etc.. Migration info. Legacy thread was 140394
