Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

cheers Scott - it's in for a service in a couple of weeks so will get it checked then

Bought my first 911 this Jan - a 99 C4 convertible in silver with boxster leather - having a great time esp with the weather we've had over the past month - however it is experiencing intermittent problems with the remote control - I have replaced the battery in the key fob but the doors only open and close after numerous attempts and the hood no longer responds to the remote -has anyone experienced similar issues and how did you resolve them?

However, they reset the hood mechanism (all under warranty so no charge to me) and all seems good again now.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My hood would only partially respond with the remote and as it was going in for a sevrice this week had them check it ou. They could not replicate my issue bizarrely as it would never go all the way down. However, they reset the hood mechanism (all under warranty so no charge to me) and all seems good again now.
I've only ever had a problem locking/unlocking once or twice, so have not got it checked out.
Might be worth asking an OPC to check it out, esp if you have a warranty as this should be covered under the electrical items section.

Daniel,
Firstly welcome, and glad you are enjoying the car. Does it do this with both sets of keys? Unfortunately Porsche keyfobs (like in fact many other manufacturers) do suffer with age. If a second fob works I would just swap to avoid what can be a costly replacement.

Sean - spare key doesn't work at all - getting that checked as well - looks like it could be an expensive visit to the OPC!

I had similar problems that both my keys would not open the central locking, the car was left into Porsche who reprogrammed both keys, problem solved.
