Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Had the car serviced and waited while it was done - no problems apart from "wipers are worn would you like us to change them", "err no thanks".
But was great to hear my car with the Sports Exhaust from inside the dealership. There where 997s and 996s being driven in and out all the time, but I could easily tell when my car was being started up as if sounds so much better. Was really pleased to hear the difference and be able to compare it to other cars.
The Sports Exhaust really is a great option for the 996 - essential almost - want a sound.

That'd be good... the bark of the thing on start up in default noisy mode rather negates the point of being able to switch it to quiet for stealth opps. Even switching it 'off' before you start it doesn't work as it turns itself on again.
Still, a price well worth paying for the noise, esp having driven it with a standard exhaust for a whole week when I got it. The engine was actually less audible under full throttle than the Mrs' Audi A8 luxobarge...

I think that's all to do with the balance of pleasure/pain... it just wouldn't be fair to enjoy the performance AND the sound. You have to leave something for us NA boys to feel happy about!

If you turn the ignition on but not start the engine you can press the button to mute it and then start the engine quietly. Well I could in my 996 targa anyway, (How I miss that noise
)
Must put an aftermarket pipe on the tt soon.

Totally agree, they should fit them as standard, both windows should come down when you push the button to LOUD mode. :twisted:

Yep everywhere I go get comments on my beasts engine roar!. Recent comments at R14 PCGB meet were about the C4S exhaust note
. A must have option.
