Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Went to my local OPC (Reading) today to renew the annual Porsche Warranty and as a good measure had them take a quick look over it. Overall no real issues underneath, except oil leaks ......had the usual RMS problem - this has just started... and the real surprise (for me anyway) leakage from BOTH rocker/cam covers? I knew about the RMS - which there is now (apparently) a new design of seal for which is supposed to cure it forever!! , but cam cover leaks?? Are these common on 3.6's? Anyway, its all to be done under Warranty. There is also a whistling (wind noise) from the drivers side door at about 80ish?? is this common and is there a solution - new door seal maybe? Migration info. Legacy thread was 140865

POST 2Original post

that RMS still an odd issue now and again, thank god for the warranty Cam could be an extra, the cure is well somewhat luck as well Migration info. Legacy thread was 140917

POST 3Original post

My 3.4 has had no RMS issues (yet) but had both cam covers replaced twice. All under warranty. Migration info. Legacy thread was 140943

POST 4Original post

I get that whistling as well - its only started recently so I think it might be a seal. Did you determine what it was? Migration info. Legacy thread was 140949
