Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I've found out the software is v5.43 but I'm not sure if that means anything in terms of whether it is suitable to use the Opel nav discs.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys, First post, so sorry if this is a question that's been covered before. I've searched the archives and can't seem to find a definitive answer as to whether I can find out if the 2002 996 C2 with PCM I've just bought has an 8-bit or a 16-bit system without actually removing the unit to get at the serial number. With my DIY ability, taking the unit out is something I'd rather avoid! I've found out the software is v5.43 but I'm not sure if that means anything in terms of whether it is suitable to use the Opel nav discs. Many thanks for any expertise you've got, and also for all the help I've already got from you all through browsing the site before I bought. Cheers Migration info. Legacy thread was 140841
