I've recently replaced my air-conditioning compressor and was told to replace the dryer at the same time, which is the canister under the plastic covers at the bottom of the screen.

Unless you have changed the valve you don't need that.

While apart I thought I would replace the 4 o rings that are on the fittings that go to said canister.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I ordered number 18 and 20 on the porsche parts diagram but number 18 doesn't fit its to big (see pics) I'm wondering if number 16 is the o ring I need not 18 ?
Anyone know?
Thanks Carl
Yeah thought that but it measures correctly 10.6x2, I've measured the one from the car and it's nearly the same size as o ring number 16, 7.6x1.5 vs 7.5x2 for number 16.
Can't even tell were number 16 goes, it's just floating in the middle of the parts diagram lol
Looking closer, that smaller one is dark green, that is part number ending 240 and you need two of them.
The other o ring you have is for between the valve and the pipe back to the rad. Unless you have changed the valve you don't need that.
This is the kit I ordered when I realised I needed 2 and Porsche Norwich didn't have one in stock...

I used the 6.07 x 1.78 or the 6.8 x 1.8 I think.
In fact, thinking about it as I type this out, when my air con guy turned up he had hundreds in his van so just used one of his.
Don't open the dryer until the very last minute by the way. It will suck in all the moisture from the air and be useless.
Thought I would replace the one on the pipe that goes to the valve while I had it a part but the one I ordered didn't fit for some reason, I've bought a boxed of o rings now like the one above
