Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Nils, I started using Performance Friction pads on my race car (a 951 S) about ten years ago, and had good experiences with them...when I was running my Boxster on the track, and went to track tires (Michelin Pilot Sport Cups) the stock brake pads weren't up to the task, so I went back to Performance Friction and the 97 Compound worked out well...and to answer your question, I use them with the stock rotors...

I use the factory pads for the street, and PFC 97's for the track...what do you specifically want to know about Brembo pads?...come to think of it, I don't know anybody who has used them...I'd imagine they'd be at least as good as the stock Porsche (Textar?) pads...

Suggestion

I also use Michelin Cup tires on trackdays so during my last trackdays with original pads they where nearly worn out in one day.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 3Original post

It was just that I find out a shop nearby that have Brembobrakes, including pads. I didnt know that Brembo had pads at all. They where not to expencive so I just wanted to hear if somebody knew about them. After what I seen it seems like your PF 97 is the pads to use for trackdays. Do you have the original rotors or do you use PF there also? The original Textar does not work very well for me on the track. I get a lot of fading and they dont last very long.

POST 4Original post

I also ordered some PFC 97 and next weekend I will go to the track. curious how they will work,

In my experience, the factory Porsche pads will work well with street tires, but if you go to tires with more grip, like the sport cups, then you'll need a more agressive pad.

POST 6Original post

The factory pads are Bremo pads. For that matter, I think the factory brakes are Bremo brakes. At least, Bremo is stamped on the calipers.

POST 7Original post

Thank you for answers! Yesterday I put on som PFC 97 in the front. I also use Michelin Cup tires on trackdays so during my last trackdays with original pads they where nearly worn out in one day. The PFC 97 did not come with the thin metalplate on the backside like the original have. Will it be ok without it? I am going to have a trackday on saturday so I am realy curious to see how it work out with the new pads. On my car the original pads was Textar and the calipers is stamped Brembo. When it realy come to it the shop did not have the Brembopads anyway.
