Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I use a Durametric that’s great for these cars.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

At the ripe old age of 33 I recently bought my very first car - a lovely 2000 Porsche Boxster 2.7. The car is in excellent condition and seems to have been cared for by it's previous owner (only 1 owner car!), however I'm having a strange issue. The car runs brilliantly for the most part, idles well and if you drive like a granny (which the previous owner was) you'd never notice anything was wrong. However, sometimes, if you go above 5k rpm the car loses significant amounts of power and struggles to gain any more revs. There's no CEL, either. The strangest thing is that this issue only seems to occur every now and then, not every time I drive the car. What would be the first things to check? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I suggest you find out if there are any trouble codes. I use a Durametric that’s great for these cars.
