Just reread your earlier post and I see you do intend to replace all of them, do get best quality items anyway.

Thanks Alex, did you just replace the tensioner roller or the roller and tensioner element?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi guys
I have a horrible squeak that comes from the ancilliary area which I mentioned in a post some time ago, I just had a major service but they "didn't have time to do the pullies.". (that's two indie services where this was mentioned and remains unfixed!)
Can I just check that I have the correct (and all required) items please? E.g. do I acxtually need the Tensioner element? It was suggested in this forum to use only genuine Porsche parts for the tensioner, think it may have been
Alexs' post here
. i think i'll buy the parts and just get "any old garage" to fit them.
Deflection roller: Code: 99610211856/2 (OE match)
Deflection roller: Code: 99710211900/1 (OE match)
Tensioner roller (997 but appears to be recommended): Code: 99710211700 (Genuine Porsche)
Tensioner element (997 but appears to be recommended): Code: 99710226000 (Genuine Porsche)
Design 911: £361.62
Belt: brand new (already installed)
Think I paid around £60 for my tensioner from Frejus OPC. Worth calling your local OPC for a price. Easy job for any local mechanic to do and should only take an hour or so.
Thanks Alex, did you just replace the tensioner roller or the roller and tensioner element?
This appears to describe the items on design 911
the tensioner element being number 2
Ended up buying the three Porsche OE at £245.05. Ouch for three basic bearings/rollers (especially after a rather hefty £1100 service). I was also told that i need to change both front and rear brake hard pipes which is extremely expensive, drop gearbox and engine
Thanks for the input guys, not a sexy topic I understand.
