Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I'm considering buying a set of four used wheels, complete with TPMS, that have been taken off of a Cayman S. Does anybody know if they will be compatible with the TPMS system that is present in my Cayman S or will there be some type of programming required for compatibility? Thank you, Joe

They will work, but uncertain if your dealer has to synch the sensors to the receiver boxes or not.

Should be just be re-learning process per the instructions in the manual.

POST 5Original post

TPMS reset The learning process only works while the car is in motion, and I've found that it can take 15-30 minutes of continuous driving. If you have a sensor that isn't accurate - gives you a false "add air" or "flat tyre" warning you can do a reset and that will usually fix it.

POST 6Original post

Each time you swap, you need to re-learn the wheels (ie 18" or 19", summer tires, etc) and drive about 5 miles for the system to work properly. There is no limit to how many times you swap, and the TPMS wheel units from any Porsche EXCEPT the Cayenne will work with our systems. Greg
