Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

18 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I weighed my car yesterday at the track on the PCA club race certified scale and with 1/2 tank of gas and no driver it came in at 3024 pounds. Pretty good I thought. Then when I get home I pick up the new Excellence and there is a story about the 2.7 Cayman vs. the old 2.7 911 RS and they weighed their Cayman at over 3150 lbs. Doesn't seem right. Anyone else weigh their car on an accurate scale and have results to share?

POST 2Original post

I would think that 1/2 tank of fuel and the factory seats would make up the extra weight.

POST 3Original post

excellence article yeah i saw that wt too, seemed a little to much on the high end

POST 4Original post

fmarshall the car in the Excellence article also had 1/2 tank of gas. What was different between our cars 1) I have more options = more weight 2) I have GT3 seats vs factory = less weight 3) I have track wheels and tires = less weight 4) I have added harness bar and harness = more weight I cannot see any way that I've shed 150lbs from my Cayman vs. what Excellence weighed their car at.

POST 5Original post

My completely stock CS weighed 3032# with about a half tank; 3087# full. The car was as I would drive it on track or at autox (empty of loose items). I have only performance options; PASM , Chrono, sport seats, and wheel, etc.

POST 6Original post

Every report I have read or heard about from someone who weighed their car said it came in under 3100 and over 3000.

POST 7Original post

3,025 w. fluids, 1/2 tank, includes roll bar, fire extinguisher, Motons, Fikses, GT3 clubsport seats, smaller battery, fuzzy dice.

POST 8Original post

Doesnt the car weight from Porsche include an allowance for a driver?

POST 10Original post

My '07 CS weighs a porky 3,100 with 5/8 tank of gas, full stock interior including manual sport seats, plus harness bar, fire extinguisher, 19' carerra sport wheels, PASM , SC, TPMS, etc. No heated seats, no NAV, no rear wiper, no BOSE .

POST 11Original post

Base Cayman weight My 2.7 Cayman with no options, 1/2 tank gas weighed in at 2934 lbs.

POST 12Original post

don't know how much my car weighs but i decided to push it ten feet today on flat ground because i was too lazy to get back in and start it up and i was amazed how easy it rolled. it felt like it weighed nothing at all. i didn't even have to push hard.

POST 13Original post

i weighed my car at roebling road (savannah, ga). it actually weighed each quadrant of the car. i lost the paper with all the numbers. i remember i was surprised that it weighed 3148 (hoping for less). i do not remember how much gas it had at the time, i think the tank was full. i also recall that the driver rear quad was the heaviest. i just got my car back (see "got crushed from behind") with the euro bumber without bumperettes and without the supports behind the bumperettes so i hope i just shed a few pounds.

POST 14Original post

essaam: Could you provide some details on the Euro bumper? Through whom did you get it? Any hassles (Insurance - National Highway Safety Admin - local police)? Approximate cost? How installed? Hope this is only a "thread intrusion", not a "hijack."

POST 16Original post

Subtracting the weight of 1/2 tank of gas brings you to within 2 lbs of the advertised weight of this car (2866), which I assume is without fuel.

POST 17Original post

I just weighed my CS on the scale at work used for outgoing trucks. The scale was just certified a couple of weeks ago so it should be both accurate and precise. 3058 pounds with 6-spd, 18" wheels, power seats, PASM , Sport Chrono , and a full tank of gas. No aftermarket mods (yet).

With Tiptronic? Has anyone weighed a CS with Tiptronic? Wondering if the Porsche specs are right on.
