Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'm going to need some new brake lines for my old 996 C2.
Do I need to go to an actual OPC to sit down and choose the lines I need by viewing a screen and then to go back whenever they get them in to collect the parts.
It's just i live about 60miles from an OPC , I was wondering if the parts catalogue was available on line and ordering could be done this way too.
Is that the case?
I would hope and expect if your car is standard in terms of it`s braking system, that all you should require to do is to provide the VIN to then allow the parts dept to order the correct parts to fit your car..... You should be able to confirm this with a telephone call to your OPC , and have them post the items too you..
Either this or rosepassion are my preferred 2 sites. Also, you can just email the parts department at your local OPC with your VIN and which lines you require. Someone will then get back in touch with you with price and availability.
For hoses go OEM, loads of supplier options, for lines, go to OPC and order from your VIN, there are loads of options on lines and if you order from 3rd party sites you will pay 20% more and probably get the wrong part
I just thought over the phone trying to describe which ones I need might end up ordering the wrong part , but I'll take a look at D911 and see if I can get the numbers from them.
I just thought the Porsche might have a way of ordering online after looking at a parts diagram.
