How you doing, I was wondering if it was possible to have just the LED strip in the bumper run as a DRL, when I turn on the daylight running light option in the dash computer, all the lights turn on as DRL (low beams, parking lights ect.) Thanks for the input

Turn on with the dash computer? Sorry new to the porsche world. Other than turning the parking lights on what other options are there? Missed this in the manual? Sorry gabster did not mean to step on your thread but I would love this option as well... !

On 987.2 caymans , there are both foglamp-looking lights and LED strips. The lights that look like foglamps are actually not foglamps, they're DRLs. The LED strips only come on with the headlights . Your spyder only has the LED strip. I don't know for sure, but I believe that the LED is the DRL on this model. OP... this has come up in the past. IIRC, there is no easy way to change this behavior. That is if there is a way at all.

My LEDs can be turned on separately from headlights , and fog lights too....Or I can turn on foglights, LEDs and headlights ......my car does not have constantly turned on DRLs. Also the last pull on knob (which lights up green) is for the rear "foglight."

Must say in Europe this is really really stooooooopid. It is now a legal requirement for all new cars to have DRL that are on when the engine is running. From memory the EU ruling came into effect 2009. Think it may be the same idea in Canada? I too wish the DRL setting in the computer meant LED strips. My drl's are always on even with the switch turned to the off position. But I Checked my vin and the option codes 288,(headlamp washer) 603(xenon +PDL Porsche dynamic light system) and 605( led Daytime) come up as the options that were added ..so that explains it.

Hello my friends, Since yesterday they stopped turning on the daytime running lights on my Porsche 987.2 (year 2011), they only turn on after stopping the engine, but while I turn on the engine they turn off. Do you know what it can be? or that it will have been misconfigured? Since the lights turn on in another mode, Your help and advice please.
