Also, you could use the harman kardon drive+play system with its wired modulator accessory if you want a screen and joystick to control your ipod; the system charges your ipod and the power button on the controller turns the modulator on and off, with the Scosche you would have to put a switch somewhere.

My installer tells me that the "feedback hiss" that I'm getting on the background with wireless FM transmitter will still be there after I install wired modulator. Can someone please verify this? thanks!!

It is possible, what brand of wireless transmitted do you use? Usually problems with the wireless units come from interference, any hiss on the wired units would come from ground loops (electrical current interfering with the audio signal) or a loose mini-jack connector. The wired unit, if installed properly will sound just like an FM station with perfect reception in stereo; it should be clear but lack some fidelity. - Suneet

I had Scosche 3 cars back (first year XM came out), hiss is because of location of your ground. Once I got the ground the same place head unit did, hiss be gone
