Hi Guys, as per the above I have installed a CDR-22 to replace the CR-11 the car came with, it sounds great, much richer sound already.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi Guys, as per the above I have installed a CDR-22 to replace the CR-11 the car came with, it sounds great, much richer sound already.
However, if I go for a drive then turn off at the first stop when I turn the car back on again it defaults to PHONE mode (I have a car kit installed from years ago which plays the phone through the hifi),
When I charged the car up recently from flat it was fine again then went onto this, v annoying!
I would happily get rid of the car phone kit but I am not sure how, it was installed by work years ago.
Best wishes Edward
hiya Ted, the phone kit is somewhat of a custom fit so there is no where to know, but removing is straight forward as they would just be plugged in, or just disconnect it rather than cutting it out
Thank you, that is my next plan, I had a quick look behind when I installed it but there were loads of wires, I will have another look, its just odd it doesn't go straight to phone etc! Plays till you turn the car off then goes phone!
Sounds like your tel mute wire is shorting out. Check on the rear of the head unit for the wore coming from pin A3 from the bottom socket. Although if it's only doing it with the new head unit, could be a fault with the unit:
I think you hold down the TP button for about 10 seconds and it should enter a menu for disabling/enabling Aux, but not sure if it also does the same for phone.
Yeah, as Alex says.
I would just slide the radio out and check the wire on pin 3 of socket A, the big one at the bottom.
My guess is when removing the system the end is bare and has now touched the chasssis and is grounding out.
Just wrap a bit of tape around it, or even snip the last 1cm off the wire.
