I’ve just spent 4 years rebuilding my 1999, 996 C4, 3.4. Got a few problems and after ready the manual I think I need to do a couple of things that can only be done using the Porsche System Tester 2 or PIWIS. zero the steering angle sensor Turn booster pump to bleed (ABS) I’ve bought about three diagnostics tools but none worked. Borrowed a friends snap on diagnostics but won’t let me reset anything. Can I buy one of these pieces of equipment? Or rent/lease one? Anyone know of a work around? I’m getting pretty desperate. Thanks in advance.

some of the tools will tell you what is going on but won't always let you reset it PIWIS is the usual solution as it directly engages and allows updates
