Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

To add to hsjb's good response, when I use the enable cd-text option in iTunes to try and burn music cd's with CD-Text so the CS will read the track names, it doesn't work.

Suggestion

This time Itunes doesn't want to copy all the songs because it seems that I imported them from the original CD's using AAC encoder, not MP3.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I noticed that my CD player, both the CD changer and front slot, does not seem to read and display the CD or Track names on the PCM display. It does read the CD data ok with only a few CD's but doesn't with most of them. The strange thing is that iTunes and iPod seem to read the same CD and track names perfectly. Instead of reading the data, PCM gives you the option to manually type the CD name I have PCM. Is there some kind of a setting that I'm missing? Thanks.

POST 2Original post

1) iTunes gets the track information online once it's looked at the audio CD's table of content which gives track count and time information. Since your Cayman has no such Internet connection, it cannot take any random CD and get track names. 2) Some audio CDs are encoded with CD-TEXT and that would explain why some CDs do show up with track info 3) The best way to do this is to use iTunes and create an MP3 CD using ID3 v2.3 tags.

POST 3Original post

To add to hsjb's good response, when I use the enable cd-text option in iTunes to try and burn music cd's with CD-Text so the CS will read the track names, it doesn't work. However, sometimes when I play original cd's, sometimes the screen does display track info.

POST 4Original post

Thanks for the response. I tried to make an MP3 CD from iTunes. This time Itunes doesn't want to copy all the songs because it seems that I imported them from the original CD's using AAC encoder, not MP3. So it looks like have to repeat importing all my CD's using MP3 encoder. I'm doing this on MAC OSX. Not sure if its the same with Mindows. I hope it wont affect playback quality on my iPod.
