Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What is the quality of french fuel and what should I use when I am in france for my 996t?

POST 2Original post

Same as everybody else's petrol. Slightly higher garlic content. You can always use the internetty to locate RON98 garages and plan your route in detail. ETA here you go http://www.prix-carburants.gouv.fr/ Edited by Orangecurry on Monday 10th March 21:57

POST 3Original post

Has been known to cause randomly jumpy throttle response, more prevalent in green cars.

POST 4Original post

95 or 98ron are readily available. I would change my fuel filter more regularly though, seen quite a lot blocked here for some reason.

POST 5Original post

Using it will turn your 996TT into a Renault. If you lucky a Clio, otherwise a battered old R21. Beware.

POST 6Original post

Typically all the motorway services have 98 RON - but you pay more at the motorway services as per the UK. Outside that sometimes you can struggle to find 98 RON, so never leave it to the very last minute so you have a bit of flexibility.

POST 7Original post

I find it in almost all supermarkets and petrol stations. Never use the stuff our selves, diesel van and car. Next time I go into town I will check now you've said that.
