Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Hello Readers, If someone that has the Bose radio would reply as to how many CDs the in dash radio will hold, I would appreciate it (I am not referring to the optional CD changer that mounts in the front trunk)! Thank you, Joe

POST 3Original post

How many CD's - how old fashioned is that Great shame they dont fit an MP3 spec system and a digital radio given as standard to the CS

POST 5Original post

Chows, You have to have the PCM to play mp3's, the cdr24 doesn't. I'm sure the next release of the Cayman will see mp3 players across the board and probably an option for an in-dash changer, at least one inside the car like bmw and mercedes does now. The German's are just a little behind, but at least Porsche has decided to separate themselves a bit from their partnership with Harman-Becker, as can be seen from the lengthy audio survey they offered a few months back. - Suneet

Yes. Here is a long thread on MP3s and WMA files. http://www.planet-9.com/showthread.php?t=8231 I agree, I find it inexcusable not to have aux-inputs (e.g., for Ipod) or Sat radio. Funny thing about the in-dash multiple CD thing. We just bought a new V6 Rav4. Quick thing for a SUV. My wife stuck a CD into the radio ON TOP of the one I had already in there. I thought ... WTH??? Turns out I didnt know it can stack 6 CDs inside the single slot! You live and learn. Meanwhile, I was clueless. Duh.
